Privacy notice

activeyu.ch · version 2 · 10 October 2026

This page explains what happens to your data when you visit activeyu.ch or leave us your email. It covers the website only. The Yu! app isn’t public yet and will have its own privacy notice.

Who we are and who is responsible

Yu! is a project born in Lugano. It is not a company yet: we are setting it up. Until then, the person responsible for the data on this website is:

Vladimiro Borsi, Founder of Yu!
Lugano, Switzerland
vladimiro.borsi@activeyu.ch

Once the company is entered in the commercial register, it will take over that responsibility. We’ll update this page and let everyone on the list know.

What we collect

  • If you leave your email in one of our two forms (early access or partners): your email address and which form it came from. That’s all. We don’t ask for your name, phone number or anything else.
  • When you visit the site: as with any website, our hosting provider receives technical data, such as your IP address, your browser type and the page you open.

The “Suggest one action” demo and the twelve-dimension wheel run only in your browser, on sample data. They send us nothing.

Why

  • Waiting list: to send you an invite when early access opens in Lugano. We’ll only write to you about the invite. The one exception: if the person responsible for your data changes, we’ll tell you.
  • Partner form: to get back to you about a possible collaboration.
  • Technical data: to show you the pages and keep the site secure.

We don’t sell your data. We don’t use it for advertising. We don’t make automated decisions about you.

Who we share it with, and where it is

We use only a few providers, and we send each one only what it needs to do its job.

  • Vercel Inc., United States. Hosts the website. Pages reach you from its server closest to you, which may be abroad (from Switzerland, for example, Frankfurt, in Germany). The email you send through a form is processed on its server in Frankfurt, in Germany. Vercel is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which Switzerland recognises as providing adequate protection.
  • Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.), United States. Forwards your email to us as an email message. It stores our account data in the United States. According to Resend, the message and its delivery logs stay in its system for 30 days; its contract allows it to keep them for as long as we use the service. Resend also uses some sending data, such as sender, recipient and logs, for its own purposes, for example security and legal obligations. The message itself is sent from Amazon Web Services servers in Ireland. For the transfer to the United States, Resend’s contract uses the EU standard contractual clauses adapted to Swiss law, the model recognised by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
  • Infomaniak Network SA, Switzerland. Hosts our mailbox, where form emails and the messages you write to us arrive. According to its terms, mail is kept in its own data centres in Switzerland.

A copy of the messages also stays on the drives of the person responsible for the data: in the email app, in an archive and in backups.

How long we keep it

  • Waiting list: until we send the invite. If you then don’t join Yu!, we delete your email within 3 months. In any case, we won’t keep it beyond 31 December 2027.
  • Partner form: for as long as we’re discussing a collaboration. If nothing comes of it, we delete your email within 12 months of our last exchange.
  • If you ask us to, we delete it sooner, from our mailbox, our email app and our archive, within 30 days, and confirm by email. It may stay in backups until they are overwritten.

The copy at Resend follows Resend’s rules, described above. Technical data from visits: Vercel keeps it under its own rules. We don’t keep it anywhere else.

Fonts and other external resources

Our fonts are hosted on our own site, so your browser doesn’t connect to Google or any other font service.

The links to scientific sources lead to other websites. They open only if you click them, and those sites’ own rules apply there.

Cookies and browser storage

The site uses no cookies, no visitor statistics and no tracking tools.

It saves one thing in your browser’s storage, not on our servers: the site language (English unless you pick another). It stays on your device until you delete it: clear the data for activeyu.ch in your browser settings.

Earlier versions of this site also kept the email you entered in a form. On your next visit, the site deletes it.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time:

  • what data we hold about you, why we use it and who we’ve shared it with. It’s free, and we normally reply within 30 days;
  • for a copy of your data in a common electronic format;
  • to correct it;
  • to delete it or stop using it. To leave the list, just write to us.

Write to vladimiro.borsi@activeyu.ch. If needed, we’ll ask you to confirm that the address is yours.

The applicable law is the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). If you think we’re not respecting it, you can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, www.edoeb.admin.ch.

Changes

If something changes, such as a provider, who is responsible for the data or how long we keep it, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
